HireFeed exists because the people training AI deserved better infrastructure — and the companies hiring them deserved something better than guesswork. We do both sides.
The story.
In late 2023, the team behind QuikHire started tracking what was actually happening with AI training contractor pay. The headline rates ($200/hr! $300/hr!) didn't match the reality our contractors were reporting. Mid-tier coding evaluators were earning $52/hr. Generic RLHF was $25/hr. The internet was full of optimism and short on data.
So we built the data layer ourselves. Joblet.ai aggregated the actual job listings from Outlier, Mercor, Surge AI, and 6 other platforms. HireFeed grew up as the brand-alive layer — the publication where we wrote about what we were learning, where contractors could find verified pay benchmarks, and where companies started reaching out to ask if we could place candidates.
In 2026, we formalized the staffing side. Same team. Same data. Two products. Joblet.ai is the job feed (free for candidates, forever). HireFeed Global Staffing is the placement service that turns that pipeline into hires for AI companies, frontier labs, and the staffing operators who serve them.
What makes us different.
Data first, sales second
Most staffing firms run on relationships and convincing. We run on quality scores, retention data, and verified credentials. Our recommendations are quant-backed.
We've been the contractors
Half our team has contracted on Outlier, Mercor, or Surge themselves. We know what a senior contractor looks like because we've been mid-tier and clawed up. That perspective doesn't exist at generic staffing firms.
No-hire, no-fee
We don't bill failed searches. We don't bill scoping calls. We don't charge candidates anything ever. The economic model is clean — we only get paid when we successfully place someone.
Published, not stealth
100+ public guides on AI training contracting. Open rate cards. Documented methodology. If we're wrong about something, we update the post. Most staffing firms operate as black boxes — we don't.
The team.
