Mathematics specialists will solve, review, and explain advanced problems across pure and applied mathematics. They will assess model-generated work for rigor and clarity, produce proofs or technical analyses, and create annotated datasets for training and benchmarking. Candidates may hold a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in mathematics or a related field, but should have experience writing research papers, proofs, or technical reports. The project favors people who can make complex reasoning explicit without sacrificing mathematical precision and who can document their methods clearly.
Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, and generate solutions to advanced mathematical problems spanning pure and applied mathematics.
- Develop detailed, well-structured explanations, proofs, or technical analyses for a range of mathematical concepts and topics.
- Assess the accuracy, clarity, and rigor of mathematical outputs produced by AI systems, providing actionable feedback for improvement.
- Create and annotate high-quality, domain-specific datasets to inform model training and benchmarking.
- Document technical methodologies and communicate complex ideas clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Collaborate with a remote team of subject matter experts across diverse mathematical disciplines.
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience authoring research papers, mathematical proofs, or technical reports.
- Proficiency translating complex mathematical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
- Familiarity with current trends, open problems, or applications in mathematics and related fields.
- Experience reviewing or critiquing mathematical reasoning, logic, or computational solutions.
- Capability to work independently and manage deliverables in a fully remote engagement.
