Punjabi Transcription Expert

Punjabi language specialists will transcribe audio and video, identify speakers, add required metadata, and edit existing transcripts for consistency. The project also calls for cultural and contextual judgment when recordings are ambiguous. It is aimed at native or near-native Punjabi speakers with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation, plus prior transcription or language-annotation experience. Familiarity with transcription tools is useful. Contributors work remotely and are expected to manage assignments independently while meeting the project’s accuracy and delivery standards.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video content in Punjabi with high accuracy and attention to linguistic nuances.
- Annotate transcripts with relevant metadata and speaker identification as required.
- Review and edit existing transcriptions to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
- Provide cultural and contextual insights to enhance the fidelity of language data.
- Collaborate through written and verbal communication to clarify project requirements and resolve ambiguities.
- Deliver completed transcription assignments within established project timelines and guidelines.
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Punjabi, with strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proven experience in transcription or language annotation, particularly for Punjabi content.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate linguistic nuances and cultural specifics.
- Familiarity with transcription tools and platforms is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accuracy in all deliverables.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Interest in contributing to AI and technology-driven language projects.
